Tyseley based Vintage Trains who operate 'The Shakespeare Express' and other mainline steam tours, has launched a Share Offer to fund its future mainline steam operations. The new Vintage Trains Community Benefit Society plans to raise up to £3million, £800,000 of which is needed to provide cashflow to support its new Train Operating Company subsiduary. The additional funding is intended to be used for refurbishment and upgrade of its coaches including the provision of a new kitchen car, and to improve facilites at Tyseley including creating a training, heritage and training centre.
