Vintage Trains has announced that it will not run any more charter trains for the rest of 2020 due to the Coronavirus. The pandemic has caused devastation to the UK railtour programme, with all tours being cancelled since 21st March.
Vintage Trains had been hoping to run its Shakespeare Express tours this summer, and more of its steam hauled day tours. But with the current Government advice that actively discourages non-essential rail travel and to maintain social distancing, Vintage Trains has decided to curtail its railtour programme for the remainder of the year.
It remains to be seen what the other Railtour operators do for the rest of the 2020 season.
