LNER Pacific 4-6-2, number 60009, 'Union of South Africa' is making its final journey on the mainline after an illustrious mainline career from 1973 under the ownership of John Cameron. The Gresley steam locomotive is moving from the NRM, York to the East Lancashire Railway for an extended period. The move from York will be undertaken by a West Coast Railways' diesel locomotive, as 60009's mainline ticket expired in April this year. 'Union of South Africa' is visiting the East Lancashire Railway for a period of 12 months.
