UK Railtours Announces Comeback Christmas Tour (21.10.20)

Long established Railtour operator, UK Railtours, has announced its first tour that will run since being forced to cancel its 2020 programme from March, as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, along with all other charter train operators.

The Christmas Comeback Lunch and Dinner Circulars are due to run on Saturday 12th December from London Euston. Operated by Locomotive Services and using 2 of their AC electric locomotives, a class 90 and 87002 'Royal Sovererign' are booked traction for these tours. Starting at London Eucton and working to Rugby, Coventry and on to Stafford via Bushbury Junction, the tour then reverses before working back to London Euston via Nuneaton. An eveing dinner tour is then due to run, repeating the lunch tour from earlier in the day.

**Added 6th November: Unfortunately the Christmas Comeback tours have now been cancelled by UK Railtours. The next tour is the due to run on 27th March 2021 (see below).

The 2021 Railtour programme has also been announced by UK Railtours, with many tours now advertised which have been postponed from this year's calendar. The first of these, 'The Cotswold Lion' is due to run on 27th March 2021 from Peterborough to Worcester.
